Game 3:
In the first game of Gold Bracket play, the Jays took on a good Grain Valley team.  The Jay struck first with 2 runs in the 2nd inning.  It was an RBI triple by Sydney Mallot and an RBI single by Shayne Anspaugh that brought the runs home.  The Eagles would battle back for two in the 3rd.  The top of the 5th saw the Eagles take the lead with a clutch two out hit.  The rains came in the 6th and rained out the rest of the game and the Jays took the 3-2 loss.  The Jays are 2-1 and continue in Gold Bracket Play later this week.

Game 2:
The Jays looked to stay hot in the second game of Pool Play of the Greater Kansas City Tournament as they took on Belton.  The offense was hot from the start and would score 14 runs in 5 innings.  Brooke Niemeier pitched 5 innings scattering 4 hits while striking out 7.  The Jays moved the season record to 2-0 and advance to the Gold Bracket of the Greater Kansas City Tournament.

Game 1:
The Jays opened play for the year in the Greater Kansas City Tournament by taking on Lee's Summit in Pool Play.  The Jays struck first with a 6 run 3rd inning and didn't look back.  We would tack on 5 more throughout the game and win in 5 innings by a score of 11-0.  Joslyn Thieme picked up the win pitching 5 innings allowing 0 runs on just 2 hits while striking out 9.  The Jays start the season 1-0!
