2026 Information

Pre-Tryout players meeting is Tuesday Feb. 24th, 3:45pm in the ‘View’ room, if you are going out for baseball this year you need to attend. Meeting should last 30-45 min.

Pre-Tryout Freshman parent meeting (only) is Tuesday, February 24th in the 'View' room, 630pm. Meeting should last approximately 45 min. to an hour.

Tryouts (Phase 2): Monday March 2nd - Wednesday March 4th, evaluations can be made anytime during this time frame. Final evaluations will be Thursday March 5th after school. 3:30pm at the Field.

Saturday (3/7) Parent meeting for all levels, 9th/10th will be 12pm 12:40pm and 11/12th will be 1pm - 1:40pm in the ‘View’ Room. Meeting will last around 40 min. to 45 min. Players will start practices at 12pm.

Mouse Derby (Fundraiser): Saturday March 21st @ Heritage Hall 6pm - 9:30pm.

Jamboree: Saturday @ Creekside, March 14th (11am) other practice scrimmages at LHS 11am

Metro Leadoff Tourney: Thursday March 19th @ LHS
PRIVIT: on the main athletic site you can find information about PRIVIT and designating Baseball as the sport when physical is complete and uploaded.
*Spring Break note: We do not take time off for spring break in our program we have practices and games. Plan accordingly, there is no planned vacation or missing, we are in season.
HITTING LEAGUE 2026
6th Annual Liberty Baseball Hitting League

→ Teams of 3 or 4 players! Teams cannot have 2
→ Starting time slots for games are 5pm, 6:15pm and 7:30pm
→ 15 regular season games with extra games in playoffs at the end (approx 18 games)
→ Grades 6th - 8th (No 9th-12th grade LHS baseball players can participate due to MSHSAA rules).
→ Sign ups till Dec. 21st (Sunday) schedule will be produced and games will start Sunday, Jan. 5th, 2025 - Feb. 23rd, 2025
→ This is a Sunday night league as we have to work around school basketball, wrestling schedules and other conflicts.
→ Chiefs will be hit or miss on start times (Playoff games may have to be worked around); however, the off week will be Super Bowl weekend with no games that weekend February 8th.
→ We did have a snow out one day a couple seasons ago, so we may have to work around that as well, flexibility is helpful in making this all work
→ Limited teams allowed, get signed up quickly and we have been full the past five years. We will have a website with stats, but reminder this is for a fun competitive environment not the world series.

INFORMATION:
- Play 3 game series each night, 1 hour sessions!
- Parents can drop off players and come back on the designated time.
- Games are played in the Turf Room at LHS, the room adjacent to Coakley FH, Coach / Umpire provided by LHS Baseball
- Name your team, schedule and standings on LHS Baseball web page
- Hitting league will receive T-Shirts
- 5 week regular season with 1 week playoff (playoff may consist of 2 days) Game times for playoff day will be determined the week before
- Game days will be Sunday evenings, may have a Monday mixed in depending on the weekend. We may have to be flexible with winter schedules and play on another day to work with team conflicts.
