Due to Covid, the Jays were unable to travel to Springfield last year, so this trip was even more special! We enjoyed time together as a team and had the privilege of taking many players who had never been with us before! We played wiffle ball, ate great food, and just enjoyed spending time together!  To make it all even better, we played great softball.

Pool play saw us match up against Nixa and Camdenton.  In game one against Nixa, Lauren Slocum got the scoring going with a 2 RBI single.  The Jays then used a big 3rd inning to extend the lead to 5-0.  Eventually, the Jays would come out on top 6-0.  Lauren Slocum pitched a complete game shut out and struck out 5.  Sydney Malott went 4-4 and drove in 2 runs.  Game 2 was all Jays and they won 12-3 over Camdenton.  Marra Cramer and MJ Blodgett combined to do the work in the circle and Marra Cramer added her 4th home run on the season.

Rain would cut the tournament short, but not before the Jays defeated Willard 5-0.  Marra Cramer got the win in the circle and had two triples and drove in 3 runs.  The Jays went 3-0 in Springfield and moved to 17-7 on the season.
